Geoshea Racing (known as Geoshea Kart! in Japan) is a racing video game developed by Geoshea Games, Co. and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. The game was released in North America on December 14, 1999 and in Europe and Australia later the same year. It was re-released for the Sony Greatest Hits line-up in 2000 and for the Platinum Range on March 3, 2001. It was later added to the North American PlayStation Store on June 17, 2008, then on the European store on October 17, 2008 and then finally to the Japanese store on December 6, 2008.

Geoshea Racing is the second installment in the Geoshea series. It is the first Geoshea game in the racing genre and the last Geoshea game to be published by Sony. A sequel, titled Geoshea Racing 2, was released in 2001.

GameplayEdit

Geoshea Racing is a basic kart racing game, and the player can perform jumps, flips, rolls. The game's gameplay is similar to those of the Mario Kart games. There are many different stages. Playable characters include Gru, the Minions (Dave, Stuart, Kevin, Phil, Carl and Jerry), Margo, Edith, Agnes and Dr. Nefario. This was the first Geoshea game to use characters from other media, including Geo Guy, Green Bob, Coraline Jones, Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, Homer Simpson, Crash Bandicoot, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Toon Link, Mac, Bloo, Frankie Foster, The Lorax and The Once-ler.

Race types include Quick Race, Championship, Time Trial and Checkpoint race. A Championship race is one where the player collects bananas (that the Minions eat) and tries to finish first place in order to unlock higher speed classes (50cc, 100cc, 150cc, 200cc, the last one is raced in reverse direction/mirror mode), more karts and tracks. In Time Trial, players beat their own times and earn medals (gold, silver and bronze). In Checkpoint Race, players collect as many hourglasses as they can before the time runs out. There are several tracks in the game. Also, in a track, most tracks have 2 shortcuts.
